Antoinette Art

I'm Antoinette Jordaan, a painter based in the small town of Villiersdorp in the Western Cape. My work is a love letter to the South African landscape — from the flowering deserts of Namaqualand to the historic homesteads of the Winelands.

Each painting begins with observation: the way morning light falls on whitewashed walls, how poplars turn gold against purple mountains, or the patient journey of a donkey cart across the Karoo. I work in oils and acrylics, building layers of colour and texture to capture not just what a place looks like, but how it feels.
